Five Common Migraine Symptoms

The migraine symptoms within patients may slightly vary but there are a common set of symptoms, which almost always are experienced during an attack. Whereas some experience an aura as a pre-migraine condition, others do not. It should be noted that migraine attacks are witnessed first in the years 10 to 45. Nonetheless, they may be witnessed later in life. The first common symptom is the pulsating headache, which deepens on one side of the head. The headache may be felt on the forehead, back of the head around the neck or around the eyes.

The second symptom is nausea. Often people suffering from this condition experience the feeling of vomiting. This is due to the activation of the sympathetic nervous systems, which leads to emptying of the stomach. This therefore leads to the third symptom of vomiting. The fourth migraine symptom is the sensitivity to light and sound.

Numbness, tingling and weakness of the body occur due to a number of aspects. This is the fifth common migraine symptom. The numbness is caused by insufficient flood flow to parts of the body. When the artery supplying blood to the head is enlarged, this interferes with the normal flood flow and circulation. The tingling sensation around the eyes and the blurred vision are as a result of inadequate flow of blood to the brain. The symptoms of migraines can be treated by application of the Migraleve drugs, which are UK’s leading migraine headaches relievers.
